Fellowship Opportunity at the ICAP Secretariat
Our next available position to host an International Climate Protection Fellow will be for the program starting in 2026/2027. Applications for ICAP hosting must be submitted by December 20, 2024, to allow time for pre-selection and preparation. The full program application is due by February 1, 2025.
ICAP invites applications for a fellowship position through the International Climate Protection Fellowship (ICPF) program by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, supported by the International Climate Initiative (IKI). This opportunity offers prospective leaders from non-European transition or developing countries the chance to spend a year in Germany contributing to climate protection research at a host institution.
The ICAP Secretariat in Berlin is seeking fellows interested in emissions trading systems (ETS) and carbon market research to join its team. Eligible candidates should have substantial experience in climate protection, carbon pricing, or related fields and meet the criteria outlined by the ICPF program.

Internship at the International Carbon Action Partnership (ICAP)
All internship opportunities for the year 2024 have now been filled. Our next opening for the internship will be from June / July 2025. You are welcome to apply up to six months before this date.
ICAP is welcoming students to apply for our 2024 internship program. We are offering internship positions at the ICAP Secretariat in Berlin for a duration of three to six months. Applicants should be enrolled in Germany as students during the internship or be conducting a professional year as part of their course requirements. German students or EU nationals studying in an EU country are also welcome to apply. Interns receive a monthly remuneration.
Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and candidates are encouraged to apply at least two months prior to their indicated availability.
