OUT NOW – New ICAP Status Report 2025 highlights growth in emissions trading worldwide

The ICAP Secretariat is pleased to announce the launch of “Emissions Trading Worldwide: ICAP Status Report 2025”.   

This year’s report shows ETSs continue to expand globally, with 38 systems now in operation and 20 more under development or consideration, particularly in emerging economies like Brazil, India, Indonesia, Türkiye, and Vietnam. Established markets such as China, the EU, and the UK are also evolving, with expansions and new design options being explored.

The report includes an overview of global ETS trends, alongside updated factsheets and infographics that bring key data and developments to life.
