Tokyo Metropolitan Government joins ICAP as a member

The Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG) has joined ICAP as its 28th member. Governor Shintaro Ishihara signed ICAP's political declaration on 26 May 2009. TMG has been an observer to ICAP since May 2008.

In April 2009, TMG finalized the details of its emissions trading system, which will be introduced in April 2010.
