On 14 June 2017, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG) and ICAP held a Symposium on the recent and future developments of emissions trading in Asia.
The Symposium was welcomed by Ms. Yuriko Koike, Governor of Tokyo and H.E. Mr. Viorel Isticioaia-Budura, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the European Union to Japan.
With more than 230 participants, government and diplomatic representatives, Japanese companies, as well as international experts shared their perspectives on how emissions trading can deliver cost-effective reductions for the achievement of GHG reduction targets.
