ICAP webinar on the role of carbon markets in tackling aviation emissions
In 2016, the International Civil Aviation Organization adopted the Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA) to limit the climate impact of international air travel and ensure carbon neutral growth from 2020. The EU has integrated aviation into its own ETS. But are these efforts enough to tackle the growth in emissions from aviation? How can market-based instruments contribute further? These and other questions were addressed in this webinar, which is part of the ETS for Policy Practitioners webinar series hosted by ICAP with support from the European Commission.
